The London Fire Brigade needed to update a sizable portion of its Stand By Generator fleet. Existing sets were both heavy and noisy.

Against stiff open competition, HGI won the contract to supply the LFB. Time was of the essence, but so to were price, low noise levels, an uprated output and a demanding specification.

Unusually these generators are so specific to the LFB's requirements that they can not be used for domestic power.

Based on the successful SK1030 (Kite) model these sets will provide decades of generator support for many of Londons Fire Stations.

This is not the first time that HGI has developed generators for Fire and Rescue applications; They have supplied other Brigades and the AirWave Emergency Telecoms system.  HGI are presently working on several Emergency Generator systems for corporate customers.
