A1 Mobile become the first user of Harringtons new Compact Welf-Air generator. Richard Cave at A1 Mobile was looking for a compact set to power his mobile cabins. Weight and size were critical, as he wanted the generator to fit into the four foot space left when a prefabricated toilet is fitted at the end of the cabin.
"The problem I had, was that other compact sets seemed so unreliable. The cost of a generator failure is catastophic in this highly competitive business", said Richard.
He evaluated the HGI Compact set and was relieved to see that it performed as reliably as the companies Welf-Air Mk2 generators.
Servicing is all on the outward facing side and easy to access. The integral long run tank takes up no extra space and gives a full 70 hours continuous running.
The Compact model gives 10 kVA at 230 volt, is protected by an RCD and has extra sockets for use with toilet blocks, lights, power tools, or any other application that A1 Mobile has.
The generator is unusual in that the cooling fan is electrically operated. This takes less power from the engine, allows a quicker warm up, works harder when warm and is more fuel efficient.
