The new DesertGuard 18-30 (DG18-30) is a military generator developed by Jon Childs at HGI with Tracktek Industries and the Royal Air Force of Oman. This super silenced diesel set is capable of producing up to 18kVA in a mobile, compact package.

The set was originally developed to provide reliable and quiet power in the operating conditions of the Middle East, where it has, over the last year proved itself.

Often deployed in desert conditions and required to run for long extended periods, the generator can be supplied on a fast-tow trailer suitable for 100km/hour, on or off road. It's been proven for either.

The diesel engine is the Lombardine FOCS and has shown itself to be robust as well as reliable. Sound levels are 97Lw(A).

The original generators were designed to power Rapier Surface to Air missile defence systems. Other output arrangements and configurations can be easily accomodated to suit a customer's particular needs.
