Dan Clay in the company sales office got a call for an on board rail generator.   However, before he could sort out the NR regulations he discovered it was for the delightful Rheilffordd Ffestiniog Railway in the Principality. This narrow gauge rail network is a working system providing pleasure for thousands of visitors.  The world's oldest rail system founded by an Act of Parliament goes back to 1832.

Their problem was that they needed additional power for the buffet car, so that they could offer improved levels of refreshment.

Dan working with HGI's technical department developed a water cooled diesel set that met their needs and specification.  Harringtons solution was economic and maintenance easy.
