The AMF panel constantly monitors the incoming mains supply. Should the mains, at any time, deviate outside the set parameters, a start signal is sent to the engine management control module (EMM) and the generator will enter its start up sequence. Once the generator has started, the correct power output from the generator is confirmed by the EMM. This creates a short delay of 25 seconds before the main contactor changes over to provide power to the distribution panel.
The incoming mains will still be monitored whilst the generator is providing backup power to operate your equipment. As soon as the mains reverts to normal supply and this is confirmed by the control panel, the EMM start signal will be removed and the main contactor will be returned to the incoming mains supply.
Once the mains supply has returned, the generator will run on for a cool down period before stopping.
During the cool down period, should the mains supply fail again, the generator will resume the load and continue to run until the supply returns to normal.
